Six Months Out: The State of the Races & a Strategy to Win

The critical 2022 midterm elections are fast approaching, and campaigns are ramping up more than ever. With so many races to follow, it’s hard to know how to prioritize.

To help give some clarity and guidance on Democratic priorities and the state of the races, we’ll be hosting a conversation moderated by Lauren Baer, a former candidate for Congress and managing partner of Arena, an organization that trains and supports the next generation of candidates and campaign staff. She’ll be speaking with the DNC’s Virginia McGregor and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-23), who will guide us through what to watch and where our efforts can best be put to use.

Using the Power of Your Voice

Join us for a skill-building workshop led by our own JDWA leaders! How do we fight back against the flood of dangerous disinformation about everything from vaccines to Democratic policies? In a busy media landscape, and a critical midterm election season, what are the best ways to use our personal talents and experience to inform and persuade? Join this interactive workshop where we’ll demonstrate how to communicate more effectively, and sharpen our written, verbal, and digital skills. During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to participate in two consecutive breakout sessions (on letters to the editor and op-eds, on public speaking and presentation, and on social media) of your choice.
